Kashmir is the paradise in India. Kashmir was once the major site of tourist attraction but later with the increasing militant attacks the tourism business showed a sudden decline. But with the efforts of government and people of India, after realizing the importance of Kashmir, has enhanced the business again. Kashmir is therefore regaining its charm.

The scenario few years back
Strategic position lead to off-and-on skirmishes with Pakistan and converted this beautiful place into one of the highest battlegrounds of the world. Such situations made Kashmir unsafe as a result the tourism business had shown considerable decline. Slowly this isolated valley became more cut off than usual.

With the worsening situations tourists were not able to experience the joy of a free and fearless stroll, and horse riding up hill and down dale around Gulmarg pastures. Their visit to the famous Moghul gardens is not enjoyable as the fear of militants is evident. The paradise was converted into a hell by militants.

Present Scenario
In the present era and over the past 2 years government has enforced certain rules and new policies that is bringing back the charm of those bygone days. These efforts are to make sure that this beautiful place, an asset and proud of country remains like that in future also. The tremendous success has been achieved and tourism business is again showing inclination towards Kashmir.

It is the responsibility of each citizen to be courageous enough and support the government's in its efforts. Today the J&K police cover every bit of the valley, and have implemented numerous security checks and interrogations. Since a million troops mass along the borders, the Indian government having blocked local servers -- supposedly to stop militant groups communicating.

The present scenario is changed and you do not need to give it a second thought while planning a visit to Kashmir.
