Hotel Overview
This fantastic guesthouse was completed in November 1999 and is run by
Edwin and his family who are sure to become firm friends during your stay. A
photo really doesnt do this place the justice it deserves; the
guesthouse has marble floors throughout and is built to a very high
standard. Situated in a typical Goan village, its surrounded by local
Goan houses, a new well-tended garden to the side, and there are lots of
little bars, shops, stalls and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Just opposite the guesthouse is the popular bar and restaurant called the Goan
Village which is also owned by Edwin. The restaurant has been upgraded
and is a real credit to the amount of time and hard work put in by this
family. The Sào Domingos is very close to the River Sal where you can
often see the local women treading water as they fish with their feet for
mussels and clams. The fantastic Cavelossim Beach is a ten minutes walk and
continues down to Mobor Beach where the Holiday Inn and Leela Palace are
located and where the River Sal meets the Arabian Sea. Edwin also has his
own beach shack and he will undoubtedly tell you all about it!
The twin-bedded rooms have an en-suite shower & WC, ceiling fan, a
balcony or terrace, and are based on a Bed & Continental Breakfast
basis. Five of the rooms have air-conditioning; if you request this at the
time of booking we will pass your request on to Edwin but these rooms are
allocated strictly subject to availability on arrival and the small
additional charge is payable locally. Several fridges are offered for hire,
subject to availability, plus safety deposit boxes, payable locally. This
property is spotlessly clean and the owners are incredibly proud of it.
